This hands-on workshop was designed for Master’s students in Fashion Design and Technology at BAU, College of Arts & Design Barcelona, introducing participants to the creative and technical potential of 3D printing within fashion and textile innovation.Over a 4-day intensive workshop, participants explored how additive manufacturing can expand textile creation beyond conventional techniques, opening new possibilities for material experimentation, surface development, and contemporary design processes. The workshop focused on computational design and textile experimentation, encouraging students to merge digital workflows with material exploration.Participants were guided through the fundamentals of Rhino3D and Grasshopper, learning how to translate 2D concepts into three-dimensional structures and prepare G-code files for FDM 3D printing. The workshop concluded with the development of experimental wearable textile samples and material prototypes, combining technical understanding with creative exploration.
