This edition of the workshop focused on exploring 3D printing within fashion and textile innovation for Master’s students in Fashion Design and Technology at BAU, College of Arts & Design Barcelona. The session examined how additive manufacturing can expand textile practice beyond conventional techniques, opening space for structural experimentation and material research.Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of Rhino3D, learning to translate two-dimensional concepts into three-dimensional textile structures and prepare G-code files for printing directly onto fabric. In parallel, the use of 3D printing pens encouraged a more intuitive approach, allowing participants to manually draw, build, and test structures in real time.The workshop concluded with the development of experimental textile samples that combined computational precision with hands-on exploration, highlighting the dialogue between digital systems and material behaviour.
