Yantra

Yantra is an early body of work that explores the intersection of traditional South Indian temple aesthetics and contemporary fashion techniques. In Indian philosophy, a yantra represents a sacred geometric structure — a system of balance, order, and energy. This idea of structured symbolism connects directly to the collection, where form, construction, and surface detail become central design elements. The collection focuses on material experimentation and construction, combining heritage-inspired craftsmanship with modern fabrication methods. Each look investigates a different technical approach, bringing together pleating techniques, 3D printing, hand-sewn adda work, laser cutting, and machine embroidery within a single design language. The result is a series of garments that balance structure, ornamentation, and technical exploration, translating cultural references into contemporary, process-driven fashion.
